Are the roots good to dig up anytime? Half my outdoor sitting area was overtaken by burdock and I need to chop it all down fast before the burs with seeds grow. They destroy hair clothing etc. I always thought the leaves were cool but are they good for anything except crafts like with the leaf pattern in the concrete? What about the stems..hmm Thank you for the root recipe! 😁

I made some today; didn't know about the tempura in the oil. They were good but if I compare to the ones I eat at the japanese restaurant there's something missing. I saw another video where they added hondashi spice. Do you use it? I didn't see any in your recipe. Thx for your video! ;-) Dominique

Super good. I keep mine in small glass jars in the freezer and I'm on my 3rd/4th batch (over a few years). Each batch can last for a while because a small handful is good enough to make the soup very tasty.
